Questions; Do I have to be 18?
Yes
I am over 200lbs can I still skydive?
Yes, we charge an extra $2.00/lb for each
pound over 200lbs up to our maximum jump weight of 240lb. So if you
weigh 210lbs you will need to pay an extra $20.00.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes, everyone signs a waiver of liability
for Tandems.
What kind of clothes should I wear?
You should wear comfortable sneakers and
clothes; shorts and a T-shirt are fine We have jumpsuits and goggles available for you.
What about if I wear glasses or
contacts?
No problem, we supply goggles that will fit
over your glasses or keep your contacts in.
What if I am too old or in poor physical
condition?
We look at people individually to assess
their ability. We will not be able to take you if your weight exceeds 220 pounds, or you
are in poor health. We have taken people as old as 89 years of age.
How hard will I land?
'Ram-Air' (square) parachutes these days
fly like airplanes or gliders and sail through the air. They can slow down a great deal,
so most of our landings are soft stand-up landings or sometimes we 'sit-down' when
landing.
Do you jump in all weather and are you
open everyday?
Although Hawaii has some of the best
skydiving weather, we will not be jumping when it is raining or very windy. Weather can
causes unexpected delays, so please be patient, we are trying to get you in the air as
quickly and safely as possible. We are open every day except Christmas.
What other extra costs are involved?
None. Our prices include everything you
need to make the jump that you are paying for. The only optional extra cost item you may
choose is video and photos that you may inquire about the day of your jump
How much are the
optional pictures and video if I decide to buy them?
Photos are an extra
$100.00. Video is an extra $150.00. Video and photo
package combo is $210.00. The reason these prices are high is
because you will have a separate person next to you during the jump
and he will be taking video/pictures of you only.
Are customers expected to tip their
Instructors?
No, tipping is not required nor expected,
but of course, it is always appreciated if you feel they did a great job.
I have a friend/spouse that does not
want skydive; can they come along and watch?
Yes, there is a $20.00 charge for all
non-skydiving "riders" if you need transportation from Waikiki. If you
drive yourself there is no extra charges for spectators.
What is the training for Tandem?
You will be briefed on what tandem skydives
are all about and how to perform during a normal tandem jump. After this is complete we
will brief you on the equipment, the freefall, canopy control and landing. Then we will
get you on an airplane as soon as possible.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy which
means you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours prior to the activity with no
surcharges. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event you will be charged for the
activity.
I know you offer free transportation but
can we drive to the drop zone?
Yes, we are located on the North Shore of
Oahu which is about a 45 minute drive from Waikiki. Directions will be emailed to
you once we receive your reservation.
When and how do I pay for my tandem
skydive?
Although we need a major credit card to
hold your reservation, you will pay for the activity the day of the tandem jump at the
drop zone. We accept all major credit cards and travelers checks.
How long will this all take ?
We pick up from Waikiki hotels about 7:15am
- 7:45am. With the training, preparation, aircraft ride, jump, you should plan on being
here for about 1/2 a day. Usually, we will have you back at your hotel by early afternoon.
If you plan on driving to the drop zone, check in is 9:00am and we will provide you
with directions once your reservation is made.
