The balls are hard and have wire in them, compared to others that have more cushion. It hurts more when you hit yourself. The string is not as thick as others I've seen my fellow dancers use.

Light but sturdy enough for practice. When I hit myself it doesn’t hurt much or at all depending on speed. Arrived quickly and does what it needs to do!
